About this service
A trademark on the register tells you what someone has claimed. It does not tell you whether they trade under it. Looking at the market shows which marks are alive, which have been dropped and which are used differently from the way they were registered. Offices and courts often ask about use when a mark is attacked for non-use, so this is also a first step in that kind of case.
What is included
- Searches of websites, online shops, marketplaces and social media for the mark
- Archived pages and public records that show how long the mark has been in use
- Notes on the goods and services it is used for, compared with those it is registered for
- A short written report with the sources, so that you can see what we saw
How it works
- Tell usDescribe what you have and what you want to achieve, and in which countries.
- We lookA specialist studies your case, with a local partner where the work is in another country.
- We reportYou get our findings and a plain-language recommendation, with a written quote for the next step.
- You decideNothing is filed or charged without your approval. We carry out what you decide.
A use search shows what can be found in public sources. It cannot prove that a mark is not used, and it is not evidence prepared for a court.
